Pen & Pencil set made with Cocobolo wood and black enamel trim. These are absolutely gorgeous to see in person. There are 2 ways people make this style of pen (called "Comfort") - one has you take off about 1" of the wood from the tip and replace it with a soft rubber end, but you lose so much beautiful wood doing that. So others, like I did above, skip that part and leave that end on there, which creates a thick wooden "lip" at the tip. In the future I'll make some the other way too.
Started learning how to put grooves into the wood, and I burn the lines in with special wire. This is stained Walnut, slimline kit.
Cherry pen, silver trim, slimline kit. No oil or colored finish, just wanted to show off the look of the pure wood.
Stained cherry slimline, with gunmetal trim.
Osage Orange wood, burned in highlight lines and black chrome trim. No stain/color, and this pen may turn more orange over time.
My first pen. Made with local Walnut. Then I ruined it by putting the twist mechanism into it upside down. :) Lessons learned.
